Sunday night was our last night with Gran, Laylay and Skip. We decided to take them to do something they'd never done before: ICE at the Gaylord. It was our first time too. The Gaylord is in Grapevine, Texas. Well, guess what else is in Grapevine? The Bass Pro Shop. We left in time to go there and eat before heading to ICE.

She looks scared, she's not. This was Landry's reaction to us telling her that that's what Santa's reindeer look like. Being able to take Gran to the BPS was special. She said she didn't think she'd get to go before she died. We told her now she could cross it off of her bucket list.
Skip is getting cold already.
Family picture outside of ICE. I appreciated actually getting to be in some pictures.
This is what we saw while waiting to go inside the exhibit. Pretty neat looking huh.
We were provided with the big parkas. Landry said this had to be a silly picture.
Family picture number 3 in one day. We're on a roll!
Everything was carved out of ice. It was so cool, figuratively and literally. The temperature was between 9 and 12 degrees to keep the ice in tact. So every figure in the following pictures was carved out of ice. You'll see why we'll go again next year.
Me, Brad, Landry and Laylay.
LayLay and Skip. At this point we had been in the exhibit for around 5 minutes. We could still feel our toes and fingers.

Landry going down the ice slide.
My turn.
Laylay's turn. Thank goodness for the parkas.
Ice trees. They reminded us of Astropops from our childhood.
