A well kept secret

So, for what seems like a while now, Brad and I have kept a secret from everyone. It was pretty hard to keep this secret for as long as we have. Tuesday night we let Landry in on the secret. Now it's your turn!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day this year was simple yet perfect. Landry had a party at school with goody bags and cards.

One side of the finished project.

When asked what she wanted for Valentine's Landry said all she wanted was a Valentine's dress to wear to school for the party. The weekend before we went in search of such a dress. Landry found one she loved! It was everything she had in mind.

Once Upon a Time...

It was pink, sparkly, shimmery and had a criss-cross tie in the back like Rapunzel's dress. Landry really felt like a princess AND she got to wear it to school.

Landry went from princess to dare devil in a matter of days.

I remember, and you probably do too, how Landry would play on this when she was little. Oh how she's grown!

Then...

...Now. How nervous can we make mommy?

We're glad she is willing to take risks and not be afraid to try new things.

She used to play in the house...

...now she climbs on top of the house.

She pretends she's flying like a superhero. It's funny, when she jumps off, she closes her eyes.

This was our January

Our weather never dropped below 40 degrees. In fact, we were mainly in the 60's. Just looking outside you would have thought it was fall as opposed to winter. January was a count down month; we counted down the days until student teaching started.

One Saturday we went and watched Beauty and the Beast in 3D. Landry loves any opportunity to dress up.

Landry practiced her reading and listened to a few stories as well.

We played in the yard alot. It was warm enough for Landry to be outside in her pajamas and barefoot. I promise this is January.

She had a blast running through the leaves.

January was a relaxing and fun filled month.
