The first day of Spring???

This is what we woke up to Sunday, the first day of Spring! Friday the temperature was in the low 70's, Saturday it dropped to the high 30's and Sunday we had about 5 inches of snow! Insane weather. The snow was gone by Monday because we were back in the 60's and today the high is in the upper 70's. At this point, no matter if it's hot or cold, it would be nice for the weather to make up its mind.

Looking at all of the snow.

Landry had to taste some of the snow.

The backyard...

We're sure it's March, doesn't look like it though.

Tuff played like he was a puppy.

Pops and Meme left about 10:30 after watching the Weather Channel for about 2 hours to make sure which route home would be the safest. Slow and steady they drove for 12 1/2 hours before finally getting home. Thank you so much Pops and Meme for coming and staying with us!

Spring Break

We had a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break. Kelley and Naz arrived Sunday, Curtis and Kim arrived Wednesday. We love spending time with family. The only sad part is when they have to leave. We went to the mall, rode on the carousel, ate sushi, went to Chuck E. Cheese, fed the ducks, went to Dave and Busters (Landry stayed home with Pops and Meme on that one) and overall enjoyed each other's company. The weather was perfect almost the whole time everyone was here...that's another post.
Stopping to take a picture.

Landry on her ship. She has a great imagination.

Nay, nay. Go horsie, go!

All smiles on the carousel.

Showing what she picked out with her tickets at Chuck E. Cheese. We have such a girly girl.

Thank you so much Skip and Naz, Pops and Meme for coming and staying with us. We had so much fun and hope y'all did too!

Ready for Spring

We are definitely ready for Spring in our house. We had enough snow this year, an unusual amount of snow. I have held off on saying I'm ready for warmer weather knowing that when the temps reach triple digits, which they probably will, I will be wishing for cooler weather. Landry loves to play outside so staying couped up inside is absolutely no fun. Needless to say Spring is right around the corner. Landry is ready!

Can you tell we're ready for Spring?

I don't know when Spring will get here...

Landry tried to paint her own fingernails a nice Springy color. If only we had been able to go outside.

She liked the color so much she painted some of her skin too.

Parts of growing up...(so fast!)

Landry has been a little girl for some time now. It seems everyday she displays another way she is growing. The most recent and one of the bigger ways: she has started sleeping in the twin bedroom, in a "big girl" bed. We're not sure if this is a phase, something new and fun, or if she is finished sleeping in her crib. The first night she slept in the twin bed (Erin, she still refers to it as Reed's bed) was this past Friday night. Brad and I kept asking each other "Is she really sleeping in there?" She did and hasn't slept in her crib since. Landry enjoys using her imagination and playing dress up. Her favorite theme right now is the Disney Princesses.
