Camping in the City

Even though we live right in the middle of a big city we don't let it stop us from pretending we're in the country...sometimes. Landry suggested camping out on a weekend. So that's what she and Brad did! Little did they know they that night was going to be the coldest one so far. Reagan and I stayed inside.

Landry cooked supper. The hotdogs were very yummy.

Time to eat!

Getting the tent all set up.

As it got closer to bed time, it got colder outside. Notice there's only a sleeping bag in the tent. Well, before they went to sleep there were about 11 blankets in the tent.

Tent set up: check. Time for dessert. It's not a camping out until you've roasted marshmellows.

I wondered if Landry would really sleep outside. Well, she did. She and Brad really slept outside in the tent. It was so cold when they woke up the next morning! Nevertheless Landry said she couldn't wait to do it again, maybe next time Reagan could sleep in the tent with them.
Camping in the city was a success!

3 Months!

Reagan is 3 months as of October 30!

Reagan and Rainbow Star. She has grown so much.

Happy baby. She smiles so much.

This month she has taken to chewing on her fingers.

If this isn't sleeping like a log, I don't know what is.

Reagan loves her sister! Her face lights up when Landry talks to her.

Not only does Reagan like her own fingers, she'll chew on your fingers if you let her. Landry said it feels so weird.
Sweet sisters.

Reagan loves her daddy too!

Fire Safety

Landry has wanted to go to the fire station and explore for a while now. Well, did you know October is Fire Safety Awareness month? It is! All of the fire stations in Plano had an open house night. You better believe we went.We went on a Thursday night, Brad had been in Mexico City since Tuesday. Talk about perfect timing!

Landry enjoyed crawling up in the cab (I guess that's what it is?) of the fire trucks.

The trucks are bigger up close. Landry was having such a good time just being there.

The boots were heavy!

Hang on!

The tires were almost as tall as Landry.

Even though she's not in any of the pictures, Reagan did go with us. She slept pretty much the whole time.

Texas State Fair 2013

We weren't sure if we would go to the fair this year. Not only did we get to go, Pops and Meme went with us!

We rode the train down. It was different this year: we had to change trains. It wasn't bad. There was a neat map of downtown that kept Landry entertained while we waited.

Me, Landry, Brad, Reagan and Big Tex.

A few days later Big Tex caught on fire. I'm glad we got pictures, it was Reagan's first time to go.
RIP Big Tex.

The livestock tent was crowded so the animals were pretty full by the time we went in. It was still fun to see all of the animals.

Landry had to get her picture with the longhorn.

We had so much fun and are glad Pops and Meme could go with us!

We were sad when they had to leave.
