The sweetness of summer

Despite the heat, which wasn't as grueling as usual, we had a sweet summer.

A popsicle always helps cool you down.

When it's  hot outside, there's relaxing inside.

Somebody knows mommy is watching.

Ha ha ha, the water hose is mine!

Since I can't be outside, I'll just sit here and pretend I'm out there.

Deep thoughts.

We're outside AND we have brownies!

Time for some experimenting with water.

What goes up must come down.

It's up...

...and it all came right back down into the bowl. That was awesome!

I can catch water too.

Let's do it again!

Ahhh!

This is NOT what we meant by pool.

Hey now, this works.

I don't need a shower Sissy.

You need a shower.

I see you, I give you a shower.

As Reagan would say, "Awww, so cute."

She traded playing with water for playing with her toys.
The weekend before school started we headed to Sterlington for Audrey's 4th birthday.

Pool time with Meme.

Go Rylan!

Go Landry!

Sweet smiles.

A really sweet smile.

Happy Birthday Audrey!

Hey, there's Cooper.

The cupcakes were delicious.

It took all of, oh, maybe 10 seconds and Reagan was out!

Landry was excited for her first day of 1st grade.

She's off.

Landry's first grade teacher, Mrs. Abraham.
I guess this means summer is officially over.

Meeska, Mooska, Reagan turned twooska!

See the little girl in the picture below? The day that picture was taken was the day she turned 2. Two! I know how time works and all yet, it doesn't seem possible that Reagan is 2.  At 2 Reagan:
goes to bed before 8
sleeps until 7(ish)
loves Toaster Strudels for breakfast
wants to go to school with her sister
looks forward to going to seeing Mrs. Pat and Julie at church
loves toddler time at the library
will tell you something is amazing or fantastic
takes a pacifier for naps and at night
is a good dancer
could eat something sweet all day
likes sweet pickles for a snack
wants to be Landry's shadow
sings Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star when she gets scared
says the blessing at mealtimes
dresses up and call herself a princess
knows her ABC's
can count to 15

Chuck E. and Rea

She isn't afraid at all.

Chuck E. brought Reagan's cake to her. This was a big deal for her.

Who needs a fork?

Yummm!

Reagan's actual birthday was on a Wednesday. We had her party the following Saturday.

That's a big balloon!

Minnie Mouse and...

...a bounce house. It's a party!

Reagan worked up an appetite.

The decorations were somewhat simple.

Landry helped decorate the food.

Mini for Minnie strawberry Sprinkles cupcakes.

Landry came up with the names of the food too.

Time to sing to the birthday girl!

She waited so patiently to blow the candle out.

Oh that smile.

The mommies.

The daddies. One daddy couldn't make it so Minnie mouse is smiling for him.

One of our neighbors, Mrs. Joanne.

Happy Birthday Reagan, we love you so much!
