Sprinkler time # I've lost count

Landry plays in the sprinklers quite a bit. She loves running in the water, splashing in the water and trying to drink the water (I will try to get a video). This past sprinkler time she took and newspaper bag and pretended it was a bag for her fish. She picked up the idea from Nemo; closer to the end Nemo is in a bag for the dentist's niece. She filled her bag up with water and then told us her fish's name. I'm thinking we may get a fish sometime in the future...

Landry is always pretty good about stopping for a second so I can take a still picture of her smiling.

Looking at her fish.

Showing and telling us her fish's name. At first she had Nemo, secondly she had Marlin and Dori and lastly she had Crazy Deb.

Patting the fish because it's getting ready to take a nap. This idea came from school.

The fish needed new water...

and more new water.

As long as it's as hot as it is we will continue to play in the sprinklers (as long as we don't have water restrictions-boo). We haven't watched Finding Nemo in quite a while. When we would watch it we didn't watch it all of the time either. Ahhh, to have the capacity to learn and remember like a child.

Father's Day

This year Father's Day was low key. Brad already had his Father's Day gift so we relaxed and spent time together as a family. Landry made Brad some special gifts and gave them to him that evening.
We hope all of the father's had a wonderful day!

Princess Party

Today we went to Caitlyn's 4th birthday party. It was a Princess Party. Our little Princess was so excited! There was a pink and purple castle in the backyard which was one of Landry's favorites. I have neglected to take lots of pictures at the past couple of parties so today I took a few....

A princess coming out of the castle.

Making sure to drink lots of water.

Patiently waiting on her piece of the Princess cake.

The birthday girl blowing out the candles.

Landry kept saying "I want an Ariel piece."

Telling us to look at Sleeping Beauty, Belle and Ariel on the napkin.

Resting for a second.

The castle.

Cupcakery Cupcake

We usually always have a cake or cupcakes at our house. We haven't had either lately because the last cake I baked I ended up eating 85% of it myself. One day this past week we pasted The Cupcakery. Of course we stopped. Landry picked strawberry shortcake and I chose red velvet with cream cheese icing. Landry's cupcake was ridiculously yummy.

Look at that icing!

Landry was very happy about having the cupcake all to herself.

The icing was her favorite part.

Yummm!

Critterman

Today we went and watched Critterman. He had a kinkajou, caiman lizard, a macaw, ring tail lemur, a 10 foot burmese python and this hedgehod looking animal that's not a hedgehog I just can't remember it's name. It was a fun experience.

The caiman lizard.

The hedgehog that's not a hedgehog I just can't remember the name.

Ring trail lemur. He was cute and seemed friendly enough.

The burmese python. After the show we waited in line so Landry could pet the snake. It was our turn and Landry basically touched the python with her index finger. I asked her to go back and put her hand on the snake so I could get a picture. She was done with the snake. Landry told me "I'm ready to go, I'm scared of the snake". I didn't argue. I can't believe she wanted to get close to it in the first place. I can't believe I got this close to a snake. Oh, the things we do for our children.

A splashing good time

As I mentioned in the post beofore this one it's hot and Landry loves playing in water. All last week she had been asking if we could blow her pool up. Friday after her nap we she got her wish. I blew her pool up and filled it with water. The fun began! She was so excited about wearing her bathing suit and getting to splash in her pool. She has spent time in her pool everyday since Friday. I'm sure today won't be an exception.
Showing that she can hold her breath.

Splish...

Splash...

Splishy

Splashy

This is so much fun!

I love splashing!

Did you see that big splashing I did?

Pool + Landry= one happy girl.

Will you go get me a towel?

Sweet girl.
