Spring Break 2014

Spring Break this year we traveled to see family.  We spent a night in Jackson and continued on to New Orleans.

It wasn't a surprise that Reagan fell asleep on the way to N.O. It was a surprise that Landry fell asleep.

When at Granma's, first things first, ice cream!

Yummy!

We wanted to do something fun as a family. It was suggested we check out the Children's Museum (thank you Catherine). It was definitely a lot of fun.

Hang on!

It looks like the guy beside Landry rode a little too long. He moved in sync with Landry. When she pedaled, he pedaled.

Monkey see, monkey do. Reagan held on quite well.

Of course she had to sit on the bike.

Even in boots Landry made it from one side to the other on the rockwall.

Did someone need a fire fighter? Reagan is on the way!

Landry was excited to see an area like Ruff Ruffman. She has seen it before on t.v.

Moving on the girls made dinosaurs...

and a path for a ball to roll down.

We covered all that we wanted to do on the first floor. Upstairs there was an area designated for those 2 and under. Brad and I took turns exploring with the girls.

Reagan enjoyed moving about on her own free will.

Yay, this is the best!

Whooooo is looking at me through owl eyes?

We told this pleasant driver we were hungry. She said she knew just where to take us.

The driver was right, the Kids' Café was delicious with exceptional service.

The hostess was our server too. She was so attentive we left her a big tip.

Reagan found a perfect sized horse to ride.

Reagan's horse was hungry so she picked some apples for a snack.

The girls enjoyed pretending they lived on a farm.

They also enjoyed pretending to be adults grocery shopping.

Time to check out.

I'm thinking our first trip to the Children's Museum won't be our last trip. The next day we decided to take it easy and go to Lafreniere Park.

The birds know the routine and flock to you as soon as you get there.

At first Reagan just watched all of the birds.

Smile, you're on candid camera.

Sweet sisters.

Family picture time! We take a picture in this spot every time we go to the park.

Here birdies, come get some popcorn.

Popcorn for everybird!

The geese weren't as afraid of us as the other birds.

By the time this picture was taken Reagan had warmed up to the birds and ducks. All she wanted to do was chase them.

It was either Thursday or Friday when Pops, Meme, Rylan and Audrey made it to Granma's. We  waited for them to go to Story Land at City Park. Landry loves Story Land.

The Cheshire Cat!

The 3 Little Pigs were nice.

Peek a boo, I see you.

Smile. Audrey liked Cinderella's pumpkin carriage.

See how tall this slide is?

Reagan was ready to go...as long as she didn't go by herself.

The Lady in the Shoe is down to just 3 kids.

We all had fun in Story Land.

We decided to see what else there was to do in City Park.

Reagan didn't care for having her picture made on the lion. Landry said it was Aslan.

The trees were the best for climbing.

We were hungry after walking, playing and climbing. Thank goodness for Morning Call.

Fresh beignets!

The fun went on with a trip the next day to Chuck E. Cheese. Reagan and I stayed at Granma's so nap time wasn't skipped. She needed her rest for after C.E.C.

Cheese!

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Reagan woke up a little after everyone got back from Chuck E. Cheese's. She needed her nap so she wouldn't be tired at the Audubon Zoo!

Reagan finally caught a duck!

Here kitty, kitty.

Nevermind kitty, kitty.

Look, Dumbo!

Neither one of the girls were afraid of the hedgehog. The both carefully touched him.

We found another tiger. Yep, we're in Louisianna.

Landry and Rylan tried to get the gorillas to look at the camera. I guess they were shy.

Always yay for pictures of all four of us.

Leopard print live.

Before we leave...

By the time Saturday rolled around all of the Johnstons had made their way to Granma's for the St. Patrick's crawfish boil. It was kind of special having everyone together.

Giddy up horse!

3 stages of Landrys

Reagan was so interested in the crawfish.

Landry said they were delicious.

Run, Audrey!

Reagan was serious about something.

They love each other.

Uncle Dustin made her laugh.

Coop wanted someone to pull her and Reagan wanted to be like the big kids.

Since Easter was only a couple of weeks away and all of the kids were together we had an egg hunt.

They're off to find eggs!

Rea found one.

The adults helped the kids a little.

Everybody found eggs!

Audrey found the money egg.

Reagan had fun finding and opening the eggs.

In the beginning there were two...

...who had four...

...who had more...

...who...who knows how many more!!!

If you  can't tell by the pictures we had a fantastic time for Spring Break 2014!
We loved seeing and being with our family and look forward to the next time we're all together.
