It was bound to happen

We have talked about cutting 3 or so inches off of Landry's hair for a while now. She knows brushing and washing her hair has to happen when we ask for her hair to stay as long as it is. Nevertheless, Landry needs a trim/cut so...

Landry put all of her princesses and princes to sleep. Notice how long her hair is. I thought she would continue to play in her room. I was back and forth between the laundry room and our bedroom when Landry came to me with...

a hand full of her own hair!!! I couldn't tell where she made the cut, thank goodness. I guess the talk about cutting her hair inspired her to take matters into her own hands. I wasn't mad and hoped Brad wouldn't be either. Landry cutting her own hair was bound to happen at some point.

Daddy, Mommy look. Is this what you were talking about?

Then she salted the edamame.

A party and a Christmas tree

The first weekend in December we were invited to a brithday party on Saturday. Sunday we put up our Christmas tree. Needless to say it was a fun filled weekend!

Landry, Meagan and another friend playing in Emmy's house.

Arts and crafts time. There were 2 older girls to help all of the "fairies"...note to self for Landry's fourth birthday party.

Concentrating on making her bracelet.

A fairy curtsy.

Lunchtime! Landry and Emmy, the birthday girl.

All of the fairies enjoying pink and purple pretzel sticks while watching Sleeping Beauty.

Listening very closely to storytime.

Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Emmy. Happy birthday to you!

Landry enjoyed her pink cupcake.

Landry and Daddy getting the net off of the Christmas tree. I should have taken a picture of the tree on top of the Honda (that's how we got it home).

Time to put the lights on.

Now for the candy canes.

We added ornaments later. Guess who picked out the pink lights for the tree? Hmmmm...

Winter music program

The weekend of December 10, Cooper's birthday, was the weekend of Landry's book exchange and Winter Music program at school. The book exchange was Friday and the music program was Sunday. She was excited about both. We can remember her first music program last year at school.

Ready to go to the book exchange.

Landry was a little unsure about being in front of everyone, at first.

She started to warm up and get into the motions. In this picture she's singing about winter weather. Brrrrr.

Landry and Blythe this year. Awww!

City Park in New Orleans

Thanksgiving 2010

The Tuesday before Thanksgiving we headed out to be with family in New Orleans. We left right before 2 that afternoon and arrived at Granma's right before midnight. We were so glad to have reached our destiniation! It was a wonderful visit filled with family and a lot of food.

Yay! Landry quickly realized there was a big L. See her holding onto it.

Wednesday morning. Landry is telling Pops about the drive in and what has been going on.

Happy Thanksgiving. Landry and Rylan turned Aunt Catherine's pumpkin into a turkey. I couldn't get Landry to get in the picture.

Sweet baby Audrey.

Allison and Audrey.

Friday morning. Yummy donuts. Thanks Aunt Darlene.

Landry really wanted another donut. I'm pretty sure she would've picked pink if it had been a choice.

Landry gets in big trouble if she hits. When she figured out she could hit Uncle Duhduh and not get in trouble she went to town. Uncle Duhduh was a good sport.

It was quite entertaining.

She moved on to decorating the tree with wuffle balls. Dad and Uncle Duhduh helped. Uncle Duhduh survived Landry's hitting him.

Almost finished.

Tah-dah!

After all of that work Landry had to take a break.

Saturday morning. Landry found a hidind spot.

She liked climbing in the tree. It was her castle.

Playing with Aunt Gail.

Austin and Aunt Gail pretending to get Landry. She was safe in her castle.

We had fun in New Orleans as we always do!
