Fun Dip

Landry's class had a Valentine's party where they exchanged cards and goodies. One of the candies Landry came home with was Fun Dip. Today she wanted to eat her Fun Dip. She had 2 and gave me one so I could show her how to use the stick in the powder. I haven't had a Fun Dip in eons, I didn't know they still made it. I kept telling Landry not to eat her stick, she ended up eating hers so I gave her mine. She ate that one too. She wasn't about to let that stop her from getting to the rest of the powder. Fingers work just as well if not better than the little stick. Turning the whole thing up works even better (like a bag of chips when you get to the crumbs).

Making sure she can get her fingers down to the powder.

A pinch of Razzledazzle Apple powder...

wasn't as sweet without the little white stick as you can tell by Landry's expression.

A green tongue!

...and the powder ended up all over her hand.

but the green tongue made the sour taste and sticky hands worthwhile.

At the the car wash...

This past weekend our temp reached 80. Landry thought it was summer. Brad took advantage of the weather by washing his car. Given her summer mindset Landry didn't mind helping Brad with his car...or playing in the water.

Please do not squirt Mommy's camera!

Running thru the "car wash".

Car washing is serious business...

who wants to be serious when you can play!

She found a forgotten about swimmie diaper in the back of the Honda. A late attempt at keeping her hair dry? Hilarious nonetheless!

Happy Valentine's Day

Landry had a very good Valentine's. She got cards, candy and accessories.

Look, a package from Pops and Meme. Yay! Landry loves getting mail. She recognizes her name now so we can't give her the junk mail and tell her her she has mail.

What a great package!

Now for the cards.

She was so excited about putting on her accessories. Landry is into Fancy Nancy these days.

More mail with Landry's name. Another card! Thanks Laylay.

I love my card.

Daddy's Valentine to Landry: a card, a rose and a book about superheros, another thing Landry is into these days.

Checking out her book.

Reading what happens with Superman, Batmand and the gorillas.

Daddy looking at Landry's 3-D poster that came in her card.

Ready for the Valentine's Day party at school.
Happy Birthday Aunt Catherine and Austin!

The girl with the curls

Today is Friday. I was trying to think of quiet, entertaining things to do while Brad was on a work call. I couldn't believe Landry agreed to let me roll her hair on hot rollers.

Half way rolled. I thought I may run out of clips to hold the rollers. Landry has alot of hair.

All rolled up. She was so excited about seeing her curls. She kept asking "Has it been 20 minutes yet?" Finally, after a grueling 20 or so minutes, we took the rollers out!

The way the curls fell reminded me of the hairstyles from the 40's and 50's.

Current weather conditions: friggin cold!

This whole week has been cold. Landry and I have been out of the house twice since Sunday. Brad went in to work Thursday and worked from home the rest of the week. Needless to say there has been some creativity involved in keeping the peace (and sanity).

Wednesday evening.

The only part of the wall not painted. I have painted the rest of this wall... with a 2 1/2 inch paintbrush.

...and then the snow moved in covering the already ice-covered ground.

Tuff likes the snow.

We got between 5 and 7 inches.

Imagine the table is the ground.

I'm actually standing in the street. The snow makes it hard to tell where the curb ends.

The view looking towards Hedgecoxe.

The princess of snow and ice.

She's only pretending.

She needed to get some energy out.

Tuff is young at heart.

Just because it's white...

doesn't mean it's snow.

It's really ice!

This is the temperature and wind chill as of 5:30 this evening.

Right before posting this to the blog at 6:30 pm.
