I'm having a little trouble starting this post. It brings tears to my eyes to say that this past September made a year since we lost Tuff. There isn't a day that goes by without us missing him. This past week Landry asked me to tell her a story about Tuff almost every night. We agreed that eventually we'd get another dog. When? What kind? How big? Male, female? We didn't know the answers to these questions we just knew we wanted another dog when the time was right. We did know we wanted to adopt/rescue our next dog. January 20 Brad and Landry went to "look" at dogs up for adoption. The next thing I know Brad sent me a picture asking "What about this one". After texting back and forth Brad and Landry came home with this little daschund/rat terrier mix. A female between 1 and 2 years old. We were given a week's trial time to see if we wanted to keep her.

This is the picture Brad texted me. |

Landry decided her name would be Pearl. |
Pearl and Landry are quickly becoming good friends. |
Pearl is enjoying her new home. |
Pearl really loves Landry. |
Pearl likes Reagan too. |
Pearl's face is saying "See, I'm a good dog. I like babies. Please keep me." |
Landry very much wanted a dog that could get in the bed with her. Pearl is so happy when she gets to get in the bed with Landry. |
If you haven't guessed by now, we ended up keeping Pearl. She's a really good dog who seems happy with us. Reagan pulls on her collar and pats on her, Pearl doesn't mind at all. Although she isn't the dog I would've picked I'm so glad she's now part of our family.
