December was more like Decembrrrrr. We were iced in for a total of almost a week. Landry loved missing school. Brad was even iced in from work. It was nice...at first. When day 4 of being stuck inside rolled around we all had a touch of cabin fever.
Just a little bit of ice. |
Reagan was ready to go outside. |
Look how the ice built up on even the small branches. |
Landry said Elsa must have frozen this leaf because the ice was sticking out. |
Out poor tree was completely bent over! |
The roads were just safe enough for Landry to go to Peyton's 7th birthday. |
Kennedi, Landry and Peyton. These 3 have been friends since they were 3 or 4 years old. |
Everything that had melted was frozen solid again that night.
Snuggling and having some tech time. |
Thankfully while we were out and about that day we got a Christmas tree!
The finishing touch. |
The ice from the roof melted and refroze so we had a little more ice on the ground. |
We were iced in for another day. The ice melted...again so off we went to Cabelas.
We saw Santa! Reagan didn't care much for the bearded fellow. |
Christmas Eve came (with no ice)! We went to church then came home to get ready for Jesus' birthday and Santa.
Matchy, matchy. |
These two are definitely on the nice list. |
Landry made our dessert for Christmas day. |
Can we open just 1 present tonight, please? Just one? |
Family picture just before bed. |
Merry Christmas! Santa came!
Landry asked Santa for an easy bake oven and roller skates. She said "surprise me with the rest". So, he did. |
Santa surprised Reagan with some toys too. |
Landry was excited to test out her roller skates. She couldn't wait to skate to her friends house to deliver her present. |
We were so happy to have Skip with us for Christmas! Christmas night we left for Mississippi to see family. It was a wonderful Christmas.
