We have some friends that used to live in our neighborhood who recently moved to Austin: Jeff, Megan and Jamison. Landry has been missing Jamison so she and I went and visited them. We has so much fun! I played tourist and took pictures here and there while Landry enjoyed seeing Jamison.

Bess Bistro is owned by Sandra Bullock. It was pretty tasty.
Brad and I are big Smallville fans so I had to take a picture of this building. It reminded me of the Fortress of Solitude.
This little cafe is owned by Lance Armstrong. Pelota is Spanish for ball.

The clock tower at the University of Texas. There is a rule/law that no building shall be built that would block the view between the capital and this clock tower.

I didn't expect to see geography like this in Texas just 3 hours south of Dallas.

Friday night we had snowcones for dessert. The snowcone stand was a vintage airstream trailer that looked like it was being pulled by this old truck. It was pretty neat.

ok so is the "one cool girl" picture taken at at restaurant called Guero's? if so that is my fav. place to go every time we are in Austin! You may have to give us your friend's contact info -- it is always good to know others that came from dallas, also.
